We are proud to announce, the new WorkSafeBC OFA Level 1 Recertification Course. This course is designed to be roughly 4 hours and is available to individuals with current (non-expired) certificates.
This course cannot be taken two cycles in a row. A “Recertification” certificate does not qualify entry into this course, it must be the general OFA Level 1 Certificate. Proof of current certification must be provided on the morning of the course to the instructor.

The WorkSafeBC Occupational First Aid Level One recertification course is an 4 hour program, including coffee break and the exam and is designed to provide life-saving first aid skills to workers in industry. Successful candidates must demonstrate competency in practical skills and achieve 70% or higher on a multiple choice exam. Certification is valid for three years. Price includes a pocket mask in a hard shell.
We recommend that participants pre-read their original course manual or get one at registration for pre-reading before the course to refresh your memory for the course.
OFA Level 1 recertification course outline:
A competent Level 1 first aid attendant will be able to:
• Reposition an injured worker
• Describe the roles and responsibilities of a designated first aid attendant
• Conduct a modified primary survey
Prerequisites:
Must be at least 16 years of age and be physically able to perform all of the First Aid tasks required to complete the learning tasks.
Must hold a current (non-expired) certificates.
Participants must provide the instructor with valid ID.
