The WorkSafeBC Advanced First Aid (L3) course is designed to provide life-saving first aid skills for remote worksites or employers with large workforces more than 20 minutes from medical aid. Initial certification requires full participation and course attendance. Successful candidates must achieve 70% or higher on both practical and written exams. Exams are conducted on day 5 (CPR) and day 10 (written & 2 practical scenarios) of the course. Course fees include: Printed Manual & Binder, 1 Pocket mask in a hard shell & 3 yr certification.

Successful candidates under 19 years of age will be issued an age restriction certificate. Restricted ticket holders must work under the supervision of an unrestricted ticket holder.

Prerequisites:
Must be at least 16 years of age and be physically able to perform all of the First Aid tasks required to complete the learning tasks. No experience is necessary.

Examination is conducted on day 5 (CPR) and day 10 (written & 2 practical scenarios) of the course. A Statement of Fitness, as well as acceptable personal identification is required prior to Occupational First Aid Attendant certification.
